Where is the best place in Washington State to Harbor a fishing boat?
Q. Could you tell me please? Westport has good fishing but you are always fighting the waves. Where would be the best place to catch Salmon (preferably King), best regulations, cheapest harboring, and the best ocean conditions? I live in Thurston County and can fly an airplane (singe prop) to get there after leaving the boat in the harbor. Best Answer points to best suggestion! Thank You!

A. Port orchard marina would be a good spot, the kings are on their way down from the san juan islands, bremerton airport is less than twenty minutes away, approx six miles neah bay or seiku would be great, but i don'T know how close an airport would be, or moorage, there is good fishing around this area that is easy access from port orchard, let me know if you are looking for a deckhand while you fish,

When they gone to start the build the new harbor in Puerto Plata?
Q. It is now more than 4 years that the Dominican governement is planning to restructure and build the new "Mega Tourist Harbor" in Puerto Plata, but to my knoledge, they only demolished a old building with offices (muelle nuevo) and that's it in 4 years! The same for the long promised new road between Navarete and Puerto Plata.

A. I think they are nice cheap bargain tools. They have a large selection on almost everything you could want.As long as you go in there with the attitude "you get what you pay for" it is not terrible stuff, however i would just personally stay away from their electrical items, but hand tools, who cares if it breaks, it cost 5 bucks and most of its warrantied.Bottom line is its decent stuff for the money, if you want something better than sears or lowes would be your next step up.

Q. What is the actually cost to Palm Harbor to build a triple wide manufactured home?
Asked by Eli R - Sat Sep 26 09:53:24 2009 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments
A. The normal profit margin in a new manufactured home is normally, 20 - 35% of the selling price. However, with this economy and the fact that manufactured homes are not moving, I would suggest shopping Dealers, offer $5,000 over factory invoice, someone will take it. Make sure you see an actual factory invoice, not something prepared by the dealer. For a list of dealers;

Why does the harbor and sea have patterns on it?
Q. We live on Sydney Harbor and last night the water was very flat, but there were patterns on the water, like patches and trails and they stayed very consistent. Why is this? Is it the wind or the tides. What forms these patterns and why do they persist?
Asked by GraemeS - Mon Jun 25 21:45:50 2007 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments
A. If the water was mirror flat, there was little to no wind or tide, for both would cause the surface to be patterned with at least ripple-wave action. What you saw might well have been seaweed or plankton groups floating on the surface of the water. Since the pattern didn't change while you watched, it was probably seaweed that small currents, or minimal tide action, had pushed into patterns.

A. It was highly praised. Of course no civilian knew a plan of the attack in advance but Japanese media always had depicted Anglo-American as demons and threat to Empire of Japan. War against China was at a deadlock, economy was damaged from war effort and casualties were increasing. The US supported China. Success of the attack was accepted as breakthrough of this situation, at least people thought so at the time. It raised the morale of the Japanese people which had been so low because of the long war in China. People made a donation to the navy ministry. 1,590,139 yen was donated within few days after the attack and 3,407,170 yen after military gains were reported on Dec.18.

Honestly, I've never read anything about the participants singing a particular song. I would find it interesting if they did, since upon arriving at the wharf they split into three separate groups. A. By surrounding it with walls. Every part accessible by land was walled. Maritime landings were possible, but not like a naval landing today. Rowing ashore a group of soldiers requires a lot of sailors and a lot of rowboats. One boat could make it, but that would never be enough to overwhelm the defenses. Enough to overwhelm the defenses would be so many, they would be spotted before they hit the walls. The weak spot was the harbor entrance. That was usually guarded by several towers which served as anchor points for heavy chains barring the entrance. Very often the enemy would try to ram the chain barrier with a sufficiently heavy ship or foolishly brave captain risking his ship. Sometimes it would work. Then the fleet could sail into… [cont.]

Did the Japanese plan to do a sneak attack on Pearl Harbor in WW2?
Q. Were the decoders working at the Japanese embassy in Washington D.C. intentionally delay the declaration of war message knowing that the surprise attack on Pearl Harbor would be more effective the longer they took? Your thoughts?
Asked by . - Thu Dec 3 04:28:03 2009 - - 7 Answers - 0 Comments
A. I doubt is because the attack motivated Americans to fight and fight hard, since it was a sneak attack it caused even more anger moto, the leader of the task for that attacked Pearl Harbor was very upset ad scared when he found out the declaration of was delayed and Japan pulled a surprise attack with no warning, that is when he said, "we have awoken the sleeping dragon" meaning the Japanese bit off more than they could chew and he was right the saving grace was our aircraft carriers were all out to sea and were not damaged, if the carriers had been sunk America would have had a very little chance of winning must less fighting back
