How can i get from Duluth, MN to Two Harbors or Grand Marais without a car?

A. Other than biking it or walking it (which I partially did during a marathon up there), your best bet is to take a taxi cab. There are several companies up there that will drive you. It's just over 20 miles from Duluth to Two Harbors. If you assume 20 miles and use the rate table from the City of Duluth website ( then the cheapest (one way) fare would be from Bayside Taxi ($42.00) and the most expensive is a five-way tie for $52.50. Those would be Arrowhead Taxi, Courtesy Cab Co., Inc., D&J Taxi, Norm's Harbor City Taxi, and Pinky's Taxi. Note that I discounted any "wait" time for the trip - the taxicab rates vary waiting time prices, so depending on traffic encountered, it could be more. The average price is $47.00 out of all the 14… [cont.]

A. A guy, who is SINGLE, will never let "complications" stand in the way of being with a girl that he wants to be with. Don't let him rent any more space in your head. Girls who pretend to just be friends with a guy, in hopes that her mere presence will make him wake up, usually end up getting hurt. He's aware of you, but he may be hoping that you will start trying to "prove" yourself to him. Concentrate on a guy who will return your affections. You're worth better.

Not only did the Talis take the heat away from the Pakistani government, but they enforced the religious codes that the Pakistani government wasn't really exited about being pressured to take away. A. You would be aiding & abetting a criminal act, which makes you an accomplice. You don't have to rat him out, but harboring him make you an idiot. Whether family or close friend matters not, the offender needs to get out of town or turn himself in.

Does anyone know how to get good deals on resorts on the north shore between Duluth MN and Two Harbors MN?
Q. We would like to stay somewhere like Grand Superior Lodge or Larsmont Cottages but they are 200+ a night. I can't bid on them with expedia or anything. Alot of them also have two night minimums. Ideas? We would like to stay for 1 or two nights, checking in the 27th of August.
Asked by marmstrong1877 - Mon Aug 17 13:04:21 2009 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments
A. They might offer last minute deals to sell any open space, but this time of year, that's not likely. They often sell out for weekends, which is why they require both nights. Best bet would be to reserve one (ask if there's a cancellation fee or anything) and then a day or two prior, call around to the different spots asking if they'll give a discount to fill the space.

Q. What are some clear examples of socialist views that Obama harbors?
Asked by Icelandic192 - Tue Sep 8 15:50:42 2009 - - 14 Answers - 0 Comments
A. Very simple: NONE whatsoever. Socialism is very, very different from liberalism, and in fact, liberalism is a counter to socialism. Those who don't understand this--like the Romanovs in Russia, for example!--tend to have a hard time dealing with reality. By the way, "redistribution of wealth" has been around for over 5000 years that we know of, and began long before the first king taxed businesses and the people to build a palace. It is neither new nor socialist, and don't kid yourself--ultra-right wingers and even reactionary right wingers like the Nazis participated, too. That's a totally ridiculous "socialist" platform plank, completely insane.

how can you check for excessive electric current in the water at boat harbors causing electrolysis on metals?
Q. severe electric current in water can eat up drives ,props etc.and there should be a way to meter loose current i would hope ..it actually eats the metal like acid eats its contacts
Asked by GEL MAN - Mon Oct 1 22:03:45 2007 - - 4 Answers - 0 Comments
A. The way this can be controlled is by using zinc's attached to the boat. They have to be replaced, but doing so is cheaper then boat and prop repair. It has been found that just moving a boat through the water generates galvanic action, not the amount of electricity in the water. It is much the same as walking across the carpet in your socks. So just as one may use a key to discharge the static charge, zincs are used on a boat.

Fun little bar/restaraunt (on busy weekends) Dont go during the winter...The best weekend in two harbours is bucaneer days in October. Everyone dresses as pirates, and its abig party.

Which Division harbors the Most Animosity and rivalry between teams?

A. This is a great question! 1. NFC East- You are absolutely correct, all four teams can't stand each other, it's not spread out too evenly, because on the top of 3 out of four of the lists would be Dallas. 2. AFC North- Now I'm just being biased, but I have noticed that the fans of the other three teams (Bal., Cin., Cle) HATE Pittsburgh, but if you asked a Steelers fan which team in their own division they disliked the most, the answers would vary. 3. AFC West- That's another division where they all don't like each other, but I'm not sure which team gets it the most, maybe Denver, because of Elway, but then it could be Oakland, because of Raider Nation. 4. NFC North- Sorry, slipped my mind, they have some pretty deep-rooted rivalries… [cont.]
